Max for Live MIDI Tools
Experiment more freely with Max for Live, which now allows you to design your own MIDI Transformations and Generators — or modify existing ones for new creative results.

MIDI Editing Improvements
Edit notes more intuitively by sorting them by pitch, velocity, or duration. Stretch, split, or merge notes, adjust their velocity, transpose them to a scale, or add intervals either chromatically or in key.

Keys and Scales
Set the scale of a clip directly in Live’s Control Bar and use scale highlighting to guide your note choices. You can sync scales across MIDI devices, instruments, and even Push — all in real time.

Expanded Probability
Apply a single probability rule to a group of notes so they play together when triggered. You can also assign randomization so that Live plays one note from a chord each time the trigger fires, adding variation to your music.

New Tuning Options
Explore and work with different tuning systems beyond the standard 12-tone equal temperament. You can now use alternative tunings across Live’s devices and any MPE-compatible plugins.

Meld
A new bi-timbral, MPE-capable instrument that offers deep sound design with two macro oscillators. Create complex, textured, and experimental tones effortlessly.

Granulator III
An updated version of Robert Henke’s classic granular synthesizer, now featuring full MPE support. Gain expressive control over pitch bend, vibrato, and glissando, and capture live audio instantly for real-time manipulation.
